I was lucky enough today to get accepted into the public beta of Finaly Fantasy 14 Online but using the official download would mean a mind-numbing slow, 24 hour long download at 1-30Kb/s.

Heute hat sich zum ersten mal Windows 7 verabschiedet und ich musste es nach knapp 2 Jahren neuinstallieren.
Am letzten Freitag (25.06) ging ich bibbernd zur Prüfung, die Nacht davor kaum geschlafen, nur um dann doch noch ne Stunde auf einem Parkplatz auf den Prüfer zu warten. Der hatte sich wohl verspätet und musste erstmal mit einer Fahrprüfung vor mir mitfahren. 
Mit einem abstrusen Cocktail an Gefühlen und Ängsten ging es dann endlich los. Eine Runde durch Langenhagen, die schneller vorrüber ging als gedacht. Ergebnis: Bestanden! *yay*
Einen Handschlag später hielt ich ihn in den Händen, eine kleine Plastikkarte mit meinem Bild und ein paar Daten drauf. Dafür hab ich mich ein halbes Jahr abgeschuftet und früh aufgestanden aber.. er ist es wert.
2 Tage Erholung später, (gerade eben) fuhr ich mit meinem Vater zum ersten mal zu McDonalds. Merkwürdiger weise hatte ich auf der Hinfahrt ein derbes Déjà-vu, als hätte ich den exakten Moment schonmal geträumt oder so. Spooky 
Chicken Nuggets schmecken nochmal doppelt so gut wenn man selbst fährt.
Ever had this happen to you? Pinned directories on Windows 7 are an awesome feature, if it weren’t for that one annoying bug (which incidentally survived the RC).
From time to time, all of your pins will disappear and you can’t re-pin them. I use pinned stuff a lot and it happened to me 4 times already. Here’s what you can do:
Go to
C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
and delete every file in there.
(Note that the ‘AutomaticDestinations’ directory won’t show up in explorer if you click through the directory tree, you have to add ‘\AutomaticDestinations’ to the end of the path.)
This will remove every pin you ever made on anything but at least you can now re-pin your items.
